Who we are

Beach Break Apps, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, operates Paintfolio. This policy explains the information Paintfolio handles, why it is used, and the choices available to account holders and people whose information a painting business stores in the app.

Information we collect

Paintfolio may collect and store:

• Account and team information: names, email addresses, passwords in protected form, sign-in provider details, company roles, and account activity.
• Business information: business name, logo, phone, email, address, estimating defaults, payment instructions, billing plan, and connected-service settings.
• Customer and property records: names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, notes, lead status, properties, and paint or color history.
• Work records: estimates, proposals, typed signatures, job scope, schedules, assignments, crew details, labor and personal time entries, materials, costs, prices, invoices, payment links, payment status, and manual-payment notes.
• Uploaded content: business logos, job-site photos, certificates of insurance, and other files users choose to upload.
• Service and device information: browser and device details, network address, authentication and security events, error reports, and basic usage records needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.

Painting businesses decide what customer, crew, property, and job information they add. They are responsible for providing any notices or obtaining any permissions required by law before adding that information.

How we use information

We use information to:

• create accounts and provide Paintfolio’s business-management features;
• calculate estimates, organize jobs, create proposals and payment pages, and maintain records;
• send account, estimate proposal, estimate follow-up, payment-request, invoice reminder, and payment receipt emails requested or enabled by users;
• authenticate users, control team access, prevent abuse, and protect the service;
• provide support, diagnose errors, and improve reliability and usability; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal information.

When information is shared

We share information only as needed to run the service, at a user’s direction, or as required by law. Depending on the features used, recipients may include:

• Lovable and its hosting, database, authentication, storage, and email infrastructure;
• Stripe, when a painting company connects Stripe or a customer makes an online payment;
• Google, when someone uses Google sign-in, calendar subscription, or map and directions features;
• the painting company’s authorized owners, office staff, administrators, and assigned technicians;
• customers who receive a proposal or payment link, limited to the information shown on that page; and
• advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or comply with law.

Stripe receives payment and transaction information under its own privacy terms. We do not receive or store full card or bank-account numbers.

Cookies and local storage

Paintfolio uses cookies and browser local storage only to run the app, keep users signed in, remember interface preferences such as theme or hidden help, protect sessions, and support requested features. We do not use them to sell data or run third-party advertising profiles.

Retention and security

We keep account and business information while the account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, keep required financial or operational records, and meet legal obligations. Backup copies and provider logs may remain for a limited period after deletion. Painting businesses may retain exported copies or information they received outside Paintfolio.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security, so users should protect their passwords and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.

Your choices

Account holders can update many business and customer records in Paintfolio. To request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of account information, email beachbreakapps@gmail.com from the account email when possible. We may need to verify the request. Some records may be retained when required by law or needed for security, disputes, or legitimate business records.

If a painting company entered your information, contact that company first because it controls its own business records. We will assist with a verified request where appropriate.

Children

Paintfolio is a business service and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to Paintfolio.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Paintfolio, our providers, or the law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
